How we measure what AI thinks about software.
Every week, we ask the same question to three AI providers: ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.
One prompt per category. The same prompt goes to all three providers.
Each provider returns its own ranked list of tools — independently, with no seed list. We don't tell the AI what to recommend. We ask, and we record.
CLAI stands for Composite Leaderboard from AI Intelligence. It's a score from 0 to 100 that measures how visible a brand is across all three AI providers.
The score is a weighted combination of four signals:
The percentages are formula weights — Average Position has the most influence on the final score, followed by how many providers mention the brand.
We use the best available model from each provider.
NR (Not Ranked) means the brand was not returned by that provider. This is not a failure — it's a signal. Some tools are invisible to certain AIs.
Trend arrows show rank changes between the current and previous weekly cycle.
Disagreement highlights appear when providers rank a brand at significantly different positions.
We don't accept payment for rankings.
We don't use seed lists or pre-selected brands.
We don't edit or filter AI responses.
The data is what the AI returned. Nothing more, nothing less.
