Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2, 2026

1. The Short Version

Respectarium is a free, public website. We don't require accounts, don't collect personal information, and don't sell data. We use basic analytics to understand how people use the site. That's it.

2. What We Collect

Analytics data (anonymous):

  • Page views and navigation patterns (via Microsoft Clarity)
  • Browser type, device type, screen resolution
  • Approximate geographic location (country/region level, not precise)
  • Session duration and interaction patterns

We do NOT collect:

  • Names, email addresses, or contact information
  • Payment or financial information
  • Account credentials (there are no accounts)
  • Precise location data
  • Any personally identifiable information (PII)

3. Cookies

Respectarium uses cookies for:

  • Analytics: Microsoft Clarity uses cookies to track anonymous usage patterns
  • Functionality: Basic site preferences (if applicable)

We do not use cookies for advertising, tracking across other websites, or building user profiles.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. The site will continue to function without them.

4. How We Use Analytics Data

We use anonymous analytics data solely to:

  • Understand which categories and rankings are most viewed
  • Improve site design, performance, and navigation
  • Monitor site health and uptime

We do not sell, share, or provide analytics data to third parties beyond our analytics provider (Microsoft Clarity).

5. Third-Party Services

Microsoft Clarity: We use Clarity for anonymous behavioral analytics. Microsoft's privacy policy applies to their data processing: Microsoft Privacy Statement.

AI Providers: We query OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google APIs to generate rankings. No user data is sent to these providers — only our category-specific prompts.

6. Data Retention

Anonymous analytics data is retained according to Microsoft Clarity's standard retention period. We do not maintain separate databases of user information because we do not collect any.

7. Children's Privacy

Respectarium is a general-audience informational website. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 16.

8. Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, traditional data rights (access, deletion, portability) are not applicable. If you believe we inadvertently hold your personal information, contact us and we will investigate and delete it.

For EU/EEA visitors (GDPR): Our use of Microsoft Clarity cookies requires consent. We provide a cookie consent mechanism on first visit.

For California visitors (CCPA): We do not sell personal information. We do not collect personal information as defined by CCPA.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
